Wirksworth Music Centre is an excellent organisation providing music lessons and performance opportunities for young people in the Wirksworth area. We especially value our links with the Music Centre as we look forward to many of the youngsters moving up to swell our ranks in the future!

Wirksworth Festival is Wirksworth's annual arts festival, taking place in September.  WACO has been associated with the Festival's highly successful Orchestra Workshop events since 2004, with our regular members forming the backbone of the Wirksworth Festival Orchestra.

The Phoenix Choir are a local amateur choir based in Wirksworth. We have performed together on one or two occasions, and continue to maintain links with the choir.

Matlock Live is Matlock's annual arts festival which takes place in the summer. WACO performed in the Last Night of the Proms as part of the 2006 festival, and in an open-air concert in Leys Park as part of the 2007 event.

Matlock Operatic Society are a company of amateur singers based in the Matlock area. WACO performed with them in three concerts during the summer of 2006.

Wirksworth.net is the local community website for Wirksworth. Here you will find a wealth of information about the town, its inhabitants and their activities.

UK Amateur Orchestras is a resource site for anyone seeking a non-professional orchestra in the UK, either to play in or to listen to. If WACO is too far for you to travel, you may be able to find a similar orchestra which is more local to you.
